Sous Chef

Job description

We are looking for a Sous Chef to join The Busy Barn Gastropub. We have a very busy breakfast, lunch, and carvery. Soon we will be adding our new dinner service. Our menu is casual but executed to the highest standards. We need a Sous chef with exceptional organizational skills to lead our team and be a right-hand man to our head chef.


  • Accommodation within a five minute walk
  • We are happy to talk to candidates from outside Europe and sponsor Visas and Permits where possible. Meals when on duty. Uniforms provided

Job requirements


You will need:
SUPPLY AND STORAGE
- Storage of foodstuffs according to the methods prescribed in the establishment.
- Reception and quantitative and qualitative verification of deliveries.
- Knowledge of computers
-conversational English

HYGIENE & SAFETY
- Application of the rules of hygiene and safety in force.
- Control of the storage of products and materials according to the instructions and legislation in force.
- Wear professional clothing in accordance with health and safety legislation.
- Management of administrative tasks and schedules.
- Leading the team and helping to maintain the motivation of the members.
- Helping to develop the employees.
